Renovation of a transportation facility in Mansfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
Mansfield Municipal Airport Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) Installation Project This project is for the installation of an Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) at the airport. This work includes installation of conduit, connection to an existing power source, the excavation and construction for concrete equipment pads, the procurement and installation of an AWOS-3P, the restoration of disturbed surfaces The Contract time for completion is fourteen (14) calendar days The construction of this project will require funding assistance from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Aeronautics Division. Funding assistance for the project is anticipated during State Fiscal Year 2024 (FY-2024), which begins July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024. All funding assistance is contingent upon the availability of funds and receipt of funding assistance grants. FY-2024 funding may be available as late as September 30, 2024 the Bidder certifies that the Bid is based on the payment of prevailing wages Bid security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total Bid amount must be submitted with the Bid. The Bid security may be either a certified check drawn upon a bank within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or a Proposal Guarantee Bond (Bid Bond) executed by a Surety company listed on the current United States Department of Treasury "Department of the Treasury's listing of approved Sureties (Department Circular 570)" as authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Bid Security shall be made payable to the Town of Mansfield. Bids submitted without acceptable security will not be considered. The successful Bidder shall furnish: 100% Performance Bond 100% Payment Bond Liability Insurance listing Mansfield Municipal Airport The Mansfield Airport Commission reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any Bid that it may deem to be in the best interest of the Mansfield Airport Commission. No Bidder may withdraw his/her Bid for a period of one hundred eighty (180) calendar days following the bid opening. MINORITY / WOMEN BUSINESS ENTERPRISES The Mansfield Municipal Airport has an approved Race Conscious M/WBE plan for FY 2024-2026 with a goal of 11.6%. If the Contractor is unable to meet the M/WBE goal, a Good Faith Effort in accordance with 49 CFR Part 26, Appendix A is required
