A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following 1. Construction of a new heavy equipment dig building on the Laurel Oaks Campus for the purpose of hands on training during inclement weather. Work consists of excavation, concrete foundations apron, slab and sidewalks, construction of the new building, and patching of the paved areas surrounding the facilities. Utility work includes electrical and water service extension/installation. a. Dig building is a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB). Design of the building, including but not limited to the structure, foundations, slabs and skin is delegated to the contractor and manufacturer of the PEMB. b. Permits are to be submitted for and obtained by the Contractor. The Owner has obtained a zoning variance and zoning approval. c. Electrical and water service are to be extended from the existing buildings as indicated on the drawings. d. Water service and electrical circuits specifically for supporting the water service are an add alternate Laurel Oaks Heavy Equipment Dig Building Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty and contract bond for the sum equal to the sum total of the bid including all add alternates, or ten percent (10%) certified check or letter of credit.
