As of March 15, 2024, a design consultant has been identified. The scope of work shall consist of providing engineering services, to include the following specific tasks 1. Develop specifications, construction drawings, and quantities of materials for ADA sidewalks, crosswalks, lighting, landscaping, signage, and storm drainage for all portions of the project. 2. Survey and map the project limits. Identify property lines and easements and locate utilities. 3. Provide project coordination and management assistance including the creation of bid documents, advertisement, and selection of qualified contractors. 4. Provide grant administration. 5. Assist the County with the acquisition of easement of rights of way and work with private property owners and other stakeholders within the project limits to address concerns with design, construction, and maintenance of the project area. The County of Mathews reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received as a result of this request, to negotiate with any qualified firm or to modify or cancel in part or in its entirety the Request for Proposal if it is in the best interest of the County of Mathews to do so. This Request does not commit the County of Mathews to provide any payment for costs associated with the preparation of proposals submitted in response to this Request for Proposal.
