Contract H - Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning The Scope of work includes the replacement of existing unit ventilators at Freeport High School and the metal casework along the window wall. We will be replacing the existing units with units capable of a MERV13 filter, the units will also have air conditioning built into the units. There will be limited asbestos abatement - piping, window caulking and any floor tile/mastic below the unit. The casework along the window will be replaced due to age and the larger mechanical units. The outside louver will be required to be replaced as they require a larger opening. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the Freeport Union Free School District, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Each bidder shall agree to hold his/her bid price for forty-five (45) days after the formal bid opening.
