This project consists of the asbestos abatement of Knox Middle School, 1625 W Park Road, Salisbury, NC 28144, as outlined in the Asbestos Survey Report and Project Design by T.D. Environmental, Inc. (Supplemental Document) The scope also includes the demolition of Knox Middle School - including all buildings, canopies, and fencing down to the existing floor slab and concrete sidewalks. Tennis courts, sidewalks, parking lots, footings, foundations, and all earthwork are to remain existing. All local permits applicable to this scope of work shall be obtained prior to start of work. All bidders are hereby notified that they shall be properly licensed as a North Carolina General Contractor with the appropriate Limitations, S endorsement ,and appropriate North Carolina Asbestos Accreditations through the North Carolina Health Hazard Control Unit under the state laws governing their trades. Bidders should price accordingly to follow all OSHA, EPA, and NC regulations pertaining to demolition and asbestos abatement. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the bid issued by a licensed bonding company. Bidders must incorporate the price of the performance and payment bond into their lump sum bid total.
