The Yukon Government (YG) as represented by Highways and Public Works (HPW) is requesting bids from General Contractors to complete Phase 3 of Revitalization of Old Territorial Administration Building in Dawson City. The Old Territorial Administration Building in Dawson City has a Historical and Cultural significance, and it houses the Dawson Museum and Yukon Government's Department of Justice and the Department of Environment. It's an old building and needs maintenance and renovation. The building is also not compliant with current building codes. A comprehensive revitalization of this building has been planned. Due to the large size of the building, the renovation has been planned into five phases. Phase 1 and phase 2 have been completed. This tender is for phase 3 of the revitalization. The scope of work includes but is not limited to: 1. Construction of new Crawl Space under the building including the mechanical and electrical. 2. Provision of heating in the North Gallery. 3. Complete structural upgrades and modifications started in the pervious phase to support future phases. 4. Site work including new water and sewer connections, regrading site and complete modifications of parking area. 5. Replace ramps and stairs. 6. Extend downspouts to manage rainwater. 7. Stabilizing the foundation stones and repoint existing bricks. 8. Repair siding and trim and touch up paint. 9. Emergency lighting upgrades. The additional scope of a cooling system - (optional) 1. The scope of a cooling system for the Gallery Areas will be added to the scope of work through an anticipated change order. The consultant will issue a CCN for the cooling system design for the contractor to price. It will be totally the owner's discretion to approve or reject the pricing.
