Furnish labor and material, as per attached specificatied Boiler Replacement Remove the old boiler unit and properly dispose of the old unit away from the site. Install a new boiler unit properly sized to heat the structure. Utilize the existing piping and radiation components. The contractor shall properly flush the remaining system and replace any defective or worn components prior to connecting the new equipment. If additional radiation components are necessary to provide proper heating the contractor will be responsible for providing them. The Contractor will be responsible for all connections to the system, including gas, electric and all controls. The new boiler shall be properly vented. The new system shall be balanced. Contractors are to verify that any changes made will not negatively affect any other gas appliances or any existing venting systems. All installations shall include any required connections and venting. If any asbestos is disturbed during the installation process the contractor will be responsible for the proper removal of the asbestos. The contractor must provide all necessary documentation showing that the abatement work was performed by a properly licensed contractor. Proof ofproper disposal receiptsand all required documentation must be provided prior to payment. Upon completion, the contractor shail.start and test the new unit to ensure that it is operating properly. The contractor must obtain a permit and have the work properly inspected and approved prior to payment.
