Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Upper Gagetown, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and water / sewer project.

All buildings, foundations and slab must be removed, and well and septic services to be decommissioned to the satisfaction of the District Engineer or his representative by April 15, 2024. It is the responsibility of the successful proponent to comply with all Provincial and Municipal regulations, and to ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained. The existing well must be decommissioned, and the septic tank removed. The slab the house is sitting on can be buried. The lot must be leveled to existing ground level after removal of house and outbuilding. Acceptance of a proposal in no way implies that approval will be granted to transport any buildings, in whole or in part, on provincial highways. It is the responsibility of proponents to obtain any oversize or overweight permits as may be required and to comply with all highway regulations. The successful proponent may not transfer his/her interest to any other party without the written approval of the District Engineer and may not occupy the buildings until such time as the buildings have been removed from the property of the Department of Transportation & Infrastructure A Security Deposit in the form of a Certified Cheque or money order made payable to the Minister of Finance, in the amount of $5,000.00 must submitted with the RFP response. This Certified Cheque will be forfeited if the successful bidder refuses to enter into a contract when requested to do so by the Minister of Transportation & Infrastructure. The Certified Cheques of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned after the award of the project. The Certified Cheque of the successful bidder will be retained by the Department of Transportation & Infrastructure until satisfactory completion of the project. Upon failure to comply with any of the above provisions, the Department of Transportation & Infrastructure reserves the right to enter, remove or demolish the building. The Department of Transportation & Infrastructure reserves the right to cancel this RFP. Respondents are requested to provide their offer to purchase and remove the house and decommission the well and septic services. The Department of Transportation & Infrastructure will then enter into discussions to finalize an agreement with the proponent providing the highest offer. Removal of building and site clean between December 1st, 2023 and April 15th, 2024.
