This Request for Tender ("RFT") is an invitation to qualified licensed Contractors to submit Bids to perform the maintenance and service of elevators at Town owned and operated buildings and facilities. The Work includes all labour, supervision, materials, cleaning agents, repair parts, supplies, tools, equipment, diagnostic equipment, vehicles, mileage and travel time. The Contractor shall assume full responsibility for completing all Work in strict compliance with the operation and maintenance guidelines (O&M manuals) of the elevating device manufacturer, and CSA B44-2007 (or the latest edition) Safety Codes and TSSA Director orders (at the time of award), for elevating devices. The Contractor shall ensure that any alterations to any existing elevating device shall maintain compliance with TSSA guidelines. The Contractor shall abide by all relevant and most recent Legislation, Safety Codes and Regulations for Passenger Elevators at the time of the Contract award and though the duration of the Contract. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to know, keep up to date and act upon the most recent laws, safety codes and regulations. The Contractor mechanic who performs the Work must have a Class "A" Registered Elevator Mechanics (EDMA).
