State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the statefunded portion of the contract be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS") under the provisions of CONN. GEN. STAT. 4a-60g. (25% of the total state-funded value with DAS-certified Small Businesses and 6.25% of the total state-funded value with DAS-certified Minority-, Women-, and/or Disabled-owned Businesses.) The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals. All firms must be Prequalified by the State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS). The DAS Prequalification on concrete work is required as a minimum for this project. The firm shall hold a current "DAS Contractor Prequalification on Certificate" (not a predetermination letter) from the Department of Administrative Services of the State of Connecticut according to Connecticut General Statutes 4a-100, 4b-101, and 4b-91. Firms shall submit with their proposal a "DAS Contractor Prequalification on Certificate" along with a current "DAS Update (Bid) Statement". Any RFP package submitted without a copy of the DAS Prequalification on Certificate and an Update (Bid) Statement shall be invalid.
