General Overview of Scope and Locations Asbestos Abatement - Gross removal of asbestos-containing floor tiles, associated mastic, plywood, and tongue and groove hardwood down to the original subfloor. Second Floor - Room 204 - MDF (203 Council Room) Lead-Based Paint Mitigation and Surface Stabilization - Mitigate and stabilize all loose and failing paint films on all substrates and apply two coats of primer on all mitigated surfaces. First Floor - Room 004 (Girls Playroom) Lead-Based Paint Abatement and Surface Stabilization - Abate loose and damaged plaster, stabilize remaining paint films, and apply two coats of primer on any mitigated surfaces. - Main Office Contractor/Vendor shall provide a Proposal for the necessary Labor and Materials to perform environmental mitigation activities within the areas identified in the Project Manual, dated November 1, 2023, prepared by Carnow, Conibear & Assoc., Ltd. If bid price is over $25,000, you MUST submit a bid bond at time of bid. If bid price is over $50,000, you MUST submit a payment and performance bond if awarded a project. If bid price is over $75,000, you MUST include your MBE/WBE subs and relevant forms at time of bid. Each Bidder must include in their Bid the premium cost for the performance and payment Bond in the full amount of their contract, when the project is over $50,000. If the Bidder fails to furnish the performance bond within seven (7) days after acceptance of the Bidder's Bid, by the Board, the Bid acceptance maybe rescinded and the Bidder maybe precluded from further Bidding with the Board. The performance Bond must be issued by a surety acceptable to the Board and Licensed by the State of Illinois.
