Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a civil project in Dunn, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; water / sewer project; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Request for Bids Harnett County Parks and Recreation is soliciting informal bids from qualified contracting firms to address a severe collapse of a section of the Dunn-Erwin Rail Trail. Specifically, the collapse has taken place at a stream crossing of the trail approximately 500-feet southeast of the intersection of N Watauga Avenue and the Trail. The crossing consists of 4 existing culvert pipes including: 36-inch HDPE 48-inch CMP 48-inch CMP 36-inch HDPE When standing on the trail and looking upstream, the pipes listed above are from left to right as shown in the picture below. The 2 red pipes (36-inch HDPE and 48-inch CMP) have collapsed and must be replaced. A bid alternative will be included for the replacement of the other 48-inch CMP (yellow pipe). Replace existing 36-inch HDPE with new 36-inch HDPE at the same length and invert elevations (looking downstream, first pipe on the right). Pipe shall be bedded to industry standards with #57 stone. Replace existing 48-inch CMP with a new 48-inch HDPE at the same length and invert elevations (looking downstream, second pipe on the right). Pipe shall be bedded to industry standards with #57 stone. Questions regarding the scope may be directed to either Carl Davis or Bill Dreitzler. Meeting at the site will be accommodated to the best of our ability.
