The project consists of the installation of a 5.0 MGD ion exchange system which the county has already purchased inside the existing treatment building. Ion exchange equipment installation includes relocation and installation of new piping, chemical feed improvements, and structural modifications. Other work performed under this contract includes installation of new valves and flow meters at a water booster station, installation of a control valve near the wellfield, replacement of fiber optic cable and accessories, and lighting replacement at the existing plant.
