A timeline for construction has yet to be announced. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Reference Number 0000335004 The City is seeking professional Architectural, Engineering, Design, and Construction Administration Services for the design and construction of a new Multi-Plex recreational center. Question Deadline 11/20/2023 at 12:00 PM ET Questions are submitted online Yes General Requirements - Insurance Required - License Required The City is seeking professional Architectural, Engineering, Design, and Construction Administration Services for the design and construction of a new Multi-Plex recreational center. These services shall include, but not limited to: 1. Selected Vendor shall provide design services to the City in general accordance with the AIA Standard Form of Agreement between the City and Architect. 2. Selected Vendor shall provide architectural designs to the City, which will include schematic designs, design development and construction document stages, implementation and initiation of a Building Information Modeling (BIM) system be employed by the Project Team. 3. Selected Vendor shall incorporate sustainable design practices in the Project which will be used to achieve a LEED Certified rating (basic at an absolute minimum) in accordance with the Green Building Regulations. 4. Selected Vendor shall provide the City with fire protection system and low voltage system design services. 5. Selected Vendor shall attend the pre-bid conference for subsequent ITB for construction. 6. Selected Vendor shall assist the City with obtaining and selecting a Construction Manager at-Risk (CMR), as this will be the preferred method of construction delivery. 7. Selected Vendor shall coordinate with furniture, fixtures, and equipment vendors as well as with the Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) in developing a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for construction of the Project. 8. Selected Vendor shall provide construction administration during which the Provider will observe all construction progress. 9. Selected Vendor shall review all of the Contractors' submittals and shop drawings and answer any and all contractors' Requests for Information (RFI). 10. Selected Vendor shall conduct periodic Site Visits, verify the conformity to design requirements, monitor scheduled progress, and attend Owner / Architect / Contractor (OAC) Meetings. 11. Selected Vendor shall develop detailed Project schedules and cost estimates for the City's perusal and approval. 12. Selected Vendor shall facilitate Public input and Public presentation at key Project phases. 13. Selected Vendor shall provide any and all manpower, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, software, and hardware necessary to perform the required services in a legal, professional, and proficient manner, unless otherwise stipulated herein. 14. Selected Vendor shall obtain and subcontract with qualified Subconsultants / Subcontractors that may be necessary to provide expertise for the following: o Electrical Engineering o Mechanical Engineering o Structural Engineering o IT and Audio-Visual Engineering and Design o Physical Facility Security Engineering and Design o Interior Design and Furnishings The Multi-Plex should consist of a two (2) story (including one (1) elevator and one (1) cargo elevator), modern designed structure (comprised of brick, glass, and clean lines), ADA accessible, smart building, with Wi-Fi throughout. This building shall include but not be limited to: A. S.T.E.M. Lab 1 (Technology Lab) 1. Storage Closets 2. Open Area for Tables 3. Multiple power outlets, USB plugs, and breaker 4. Wired for surround sound 5. Divider separating Lab 1 and Lab 2 B. S.T.E.M. Lab 2 (Science Lab) 1. Storage Cabinets 2. Storage Closets 3. Open Area for tables 4. Sinks 5. Divider separating Lab 1 and Lab 2 C. Multi-purpose Room 1 1. Closet 2. Wired for surround sound 3. Divider separating multi-purpose room 1 and multi-purpose room 2 D. Multi-purpose Room 2 1. Closet 2. Wired for surround sound 3. Divider separating multi-purpose room 1 and multi-purpose room 2 E. Dance Studio 1. Mirrors around entire room 2. Dance Bars 3. Storage closet 4. Wired for sound system 5. Hardwood Floors F. Industrial Kitchen 1. Industrial Two ovens/ two air fryers 2. Stainless Steel appliances and tables. 3. Viewing Seats at Tables 4. Area for Industrial refrigerator, freezer, deep freezer, pantry, range, and storage. G. Multi-Purpose Atrium 1. Open space for city events, banquets, conferences, and luncheons. 2. Ability to seat 200+ people. H. Multi-Purpose Courts 1. Four high school regulation basketball courts with the ability to run two courts sideways on each court. (Must have the ability to play 8 games at the simultaneously) 2. All sideway courts will have Pickleball and Volleyball lines to total eight Pickleball courts and eight Volleyball courts. 3. Court area should be able to facilitate the volleyball equipment retracting to the ceiling. 4. Space should include an indoor track. 5. Sitting area around each court should be included. 6. Drop down Court Dividers I. Office Space 1. Six Modern Office Spaces a. Three individual offices b. One Shared office c. One Open Shared Workspace with six stations J. Conference Room 1.
