Site work for a water / sewer project in Omaha, Nebraska. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Work includes furnishing of the labor, materials, equipment and services for the construction of the following 1. Removal and replacement of pavement, sidewalks, driveways, and appurtenances. 2. Construction of new storm sewer inlets, manholes, and appurtenances. 3. Construction of new sanitary sewer piping, private sanitary laterals, manholes, and appurtenances. 4. Removal/abandonment of existing sewers, water lines, and related water/sewer appurtenances. 5. Rehabilitation of existing sewers and related appurtenances. 6. Construction staging, traffic control, bypass pumping, and dewatering. 7. Installation, maintenance, and removal of SWPPP and erosion control measures. 8. Miscellaneous other work identified to occur necessary for proper execution and completion of the work. This project mainly consists of constructing new sanitary and storm pipes to separate combined sewers in the project area. Surface improvements are also included in the sewer construction corridors. This bid requires submission of an Economic Equity and Inclusion Plan (EEIP). This project qualifies for Apprentice utilization. Contractor should attach Apprenticeship Incentive Form (AIF) with their bid submission to utilize this provision. This bid has an SEB reserve. More information about certification with the City of Omaha Small and Emerging Small Business Program can be found on the Omaha Human Rights & Relations webste: https://humanrights.cityofomaha.org/economicdevelopment/small-and-emerging-small-business-seb This project also has Reference Materials which can be found under the Attachments tab Requirement for Bid Bond: The surety company issuing the bid bond should be licensed by the State of Nebraska and listed on the current edition of Circular 570 of the United States Department of the Treasury. Acceptable substitutes for a bid bond: a certified check, an official bank check, a cashier's checks drawn on a national bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the state, payable to City of Omaha, or lawful money of the United States, or a United States Government Bond (negotiable). LETTERS OF CREDIT ARE NOT AN ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE FOR A BID BOND AND WOULD BE CAUSE FOR REJECTION OF BID.
