Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in New Britain, Connecticut. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

As of October 30, 2025, the project was never awarded and does not plan to rebid. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The scope of work generally consists of completing C9_119 Rehabilitation and I/I Removal including cured-in-place pipe lining (CIPPL) of approximately 9,400 LF of 8 to 12 diameter mainline sewers, point repairs on two mainline sewers, removal of two protruding taps within mainline sewers, pre-cleaning, pre and post closed-circuit television inspections, CIPPL of 194 sewer service laterals, service lateral point repairs on 16 service laterals, replacement of 39 service laterals, heavy cleaning for service laterals, sidewalk, curbing, paving, private inflow disconnection at 17 locations, and sewer manhole lining and/or rehabilitation on 27 manholes. The Owner may consider informal any bid not prepared and submitted in accordance with provisions hereof and may waive any informalities in or reject any and all bids. The Owner also reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder it considers not responsible. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or by a certified check of the bidder in the amount of TEN percent (10%) of the total bid amount, payable to the City of New Britain. The bidder awarded the Contract shall, at the time of signing the Contract, submit an executed performance bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount conditioned upon the faithful performance of the Contract. Said performance bond shall be from a company or companies authorized to transact business in the State of Connecticut. The approved bonds shall also contain a labor and material bond for 100% of the Contract amount for the payment of all persons performing labor or furnishing materials in connection with this Contract. The successful bidder shall execute and deliver the contract and required bonds within 10 days after he has received notice of the acceptance of his bid. Failure or refusal to do so shall cause the bidder to forfeit to the Owner, as liquidated damages for such failure or refusal, the security deposited with his bid.
