Renovation of a mixed-use development in Otis, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
A. The Project consists of the following: 1. Excavation for and installation of footings for new foundation piers. 2. Plumbing, leveling, and squaring the ell. 3. Replacement of existing piers and dunnage with new brick and stone masonry piers to match those constructed in Phase 1. 4. Improvement of existing sills and floor framing with lumber as shown on the drawings. 5. Secure connection of ell to main wing with associated flashings and sealants. 6. Repair of exterior holes and missing components at ell to match existing construction. 7. Prime painting of all exterior exposed new wood. 8. Cleanup of construction operations under this phase. Historic East Otis Schoolhouse - Phase 2. The project scope is confined to the building ell and consists of: replacing concrete and masonry foundation piers, improving archaic wood floor framing, securing the ell to the main wing, flashing and sealing the ell to the main building, prime painting any new exposed wood, and minor incidental work.
