Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Santa Barbara, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a 66,653-square-foot, four-story above grade fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; for paving for a fire / police facility; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and 107,042-square-foot, four-story above grade parking garage.
The City of Santa Barbara (City) seeks to pre-qualify general contractors for the construction of a new Police Station. The Project will involve the removal of the existing surface parking lot containing 212 parking spaces and multiple trees, and the construction of a new three-story, +-64,000-square-foot Santa Barbara Police Station, an +-81,000-square-foot secure parking structure to accommodate 238 parking spaces (128 for Police Department vehicles and 108 for employee vehicles), and limited non-secure surface public parking and bicycle parking. Both structures will have a subterranean level below (E) finish grade. Approximately 22,000 cubic yards of grading export is anticipated to accommodate the necessary excavation..
