Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Brookshire, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a 6,368-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
As of April 12, 2024 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on April 23, 2024. Brookshire-Katy Drainage District ("Owner") requests competitive sealed proposals (bids) for the construction of a new Administrative Building located at 1111 Kenney Street (on the north-west corner of Fourth Street and Kenney Street) in the City of Brookshire, Texas. Scope of Work: The Project consists of construction of the following: New free-standing 6,368 square foot Administration Building and associated site infrastructure upgrades to support the new building including, but not limited to selective demolition, paved parking and drives, on-site utilities, and detention pond. Bid and Bond Requirements: Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, the "bid security", in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a proper Contract and execute Bonds and Guaranty on the forms provided within five days after the Notice to Proceed is received by the General Contractor. Bid sureties will be returned to all but the three lowest acceptable bidders the day of opening the Bids, and the remaining bid sureties will be returned after execution of the Contract. The successful bidder must furnish Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds on the forms furnished with the Bid, in the amounts of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, from a surety company acceptable to the Owner. A completed Form 1295 Certificate of Interested Parties must accompany the bid. Attention: Pursuant to Texas Government Code 2252.908, unless you are a publicly traded entity or a wholly owned subsidiary of same, you must be able to provide Brookshire-Katy Drainage District with printed and signed copies of a completed disclosure of interested parties form (Form 1295) and a certificate of filing at the time of the District's execution of the contract. Failure to do so will result in the District's inability to execute the contract. The requirements of Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Government Code, may apply to this Contract and the Contractor agrees that the Contract can be terminated if the Contractor knowingly or intentionally fails to comply with a requirement of that subchapter. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive irregularities in the bidding. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the prices in the Bid, the Owner (Brookshire-Katy Drainage District) reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof or to reject the Bid. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 90 calendar days from the date bids are opened.
