The Project includes the following Work: Demolition, disposal, and replacement of an existing sludge loadout building, which is a metal frame structure with approximate dimensions of 30 feet wide by 52 feet long. The existing frame will be reused and repainted, with the new building using the existing frame for support. Ancillary replacement work shall include new electrical, lighting, piping, personnel doors, overhead door with opener, windows, and other wall mounted components, including protecting existing utilities that are designated to remain. Work shall be completed while keeping the existing concrete foundations, floors, stairs, and interior components in place. Other incidental items of work shall be as specified herein and as indicated on the drawings for an acceptable and complete installation. This is a State Revolving Fund Project. There is no pre-bid conference for this project. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. The check(s) or bond(s) shall be made payable to Owner as security that the bidder(s) to whom the award(s) are made will enter into contract to build the improvements bid upon and furnish the required bonds and insurance. The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid which it deems most advantageous to the Owner, and to reject any or all bids submitted and to hold as many bids as it desires for consideration for a period of sixty days after the bids are open. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Question Deadline 12/06/2023
