Renovation of a water / sewer project in Butner, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
THE PROJECT GENERALLY CONSISTS OF a chemical storage tank replacement and upgrade project at the SGWASA Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project scope includes the demolition and removal of nine existing bulk storage tanks (four alum and five caustic soda) and associated piping, and installation of four new bulk storage tanks (2 each of alum and caustic soda. All new tanks will be equipped with new piping, valves, and accessories to provide a complete chemical storage system. The project also includes the replacement of the caustic soda metering pump piping (pumps will remain).
