The City of Milwaukie (City) is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced firms or individuals for as-needed building and plan review services to ensure compliance with the most recently adopted State of Oregon Building Codes, regulated through the Building Codes Division. Proposing firms should possess strong qualities in communication, timeliness, and competency. A complete description of services is provided under Section 3 of the Request for Proposals (RFP) document. The City's objective is to enter into an agreement that will provide these comprehensive services. The City's expectation of any consultant is that their values align with the City's for highly ethical conduct, fiscal responsibility, respect for the community and others, and responsiveness to customers. The City is committed to ensuring equity and fairness in its contracting and purchasing process and increasing opportunities for minority-owned, women-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, and emerging small businesses enterprises. Furthermore, the City strongly encourages its consultants to utilize these businesses when providing services and materials for city contracts and projects.
