To remove, supply and install new underfloor heat exchangers at the Sports Village Centre. The Corporation of the City of Vaughan is soliciting bids from 'qualified' bidders for the Ammonia Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger Replacement at the Sports Village Centre. - Pump down existing underfloor heat exchanger and prepare for cut out. - Drain glycol into totes (holding tanks) provided by the contractor. - Cut away the existing heat exchanger and dispose. - Supply and install one new Cimco or (Equivalent) Ammonia Shell and Tube underfloor heat exchanger, same size, and capacity as existing. - Freight and delivery cost to be carried by the contractor. - All miscellaneous supplies: oxy-acetylene, welding rods, nitrogen, piping, vacuum pump, rigging equipment, ladders, paint for the piping (matching existing colors), and new hangers and rods, to be provided by contractor. - Supply and install all piping required for the underfloor heat exchanger. - Supply and install three ammonia globe valves on the hot gas line. - The two pressure relief valves not to be replaced, but to be re-piped and connected to new heat exchanger. - Remove and install new 3/4 inch pipe from High Side float to the heat exchanger. - Remove, supply, and install two (2) new digital thermometers before and after the underfloor Heat Exchanger. The Contractor shall commence work on December 1, 2023. Work described for tender drawings and specification expected to be completed by March 30, 2024 as per contract.
