Saving Project...

Site work for a water / sewer project in Charlotte, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The City of Charlotte will receive sealed bids for the live insertion of a watermain valve. Contact information for the bidder shall be included with their bid. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing and inserting a 12" right hand valve into the live City potable water system and presenting the cored watermain "cookie" to the Department of Public Works (DPW). The City DPW will be responsible for the excavation, backfilling and restoration of the work area. It is anticipated that the bid will be awarded by the city council on November 20, 2023. Unless otherwise agreed upon, the valve(s) will be inserted during regular business hours of the DPW Garage (7:30 am to 4:00 pm). The Bidder agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Charlotte, Michigan, its officers, employees and agents, from and against any claim, demand, suit, loss, cost or expense, or any damage, which may be asserted, claimed or recovered against or from the City of Charlotte, its officers, employees and agents, by reason of any damage to property, bodily injury or death, sustained by any person whomsoever and which damage, injury or death arises out of or is incident to or in any way connected with or related to the valve insertion. The City of Charlotte reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities and to select the bid most advantageous to the City of Charlotte
