1.1 SUMMARY - The project consists of construction of a steel building and other related site work. 2. The Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals required to provide a protective coating system for the surfaces listed herein and not otherwise excluded. The work includes surface preparation and cleaning, painting and finishing of interior and exterior exposed items and surfaces such as ceilings, walls, floors, miscellaneous metal, doors, frames, construction signs, guardrails, posts, pipes, fittings, valves, equipment, and all other work obviously required to be painted unless otherwise specified herein or on the Drawings. The omission of minor items in the schedule of work shall not relieve the Contractor of his obligation to include such items where they come within the general intent of the Specifications as stated herein. Liquidated Damages In the event the Contractor fails to complete the work within the time limit or extended time limit agreed upon, as more particularly set forth in the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, liquidated damages shall be paid to the City of Rexburg, Idaho, at the rate of FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00) PER CALENDAR DAY until the work has been finished as provided in the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS The City reserves the right to reject all Proposals or any Proposal not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Bid Documents.
