An acceptable bid bond, cashiers check, or certified check payable to the City of Shreveport, in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the bid, including additive alternates, must accompany the bid. Negotiable bid bonds will be returned to the unsuccessful bidder as soon as possible, or not more than 45 days after the opening of bids. All bonds applicable to this transaction must be accompanied by an original power of attorney. An acceptable performance bond equal to 100%
of the amount of the contract and a 50% payment bond and 10% two-year maintenance bond will be required of the successful bidder. The lowest responsible and responsive bidder will be requested to adhere to the Citys Fair Share requirements. On any bid submitted in the amount of $50,000 or more, the Contractor shall certify that he or she is licensed under Louisiana Revised Statute 37:2150et seq. and
show his/her license number in the bid and on the envelope or in the designated place in the electronic bid. The licensee shall not be permitted to bid or perform
any type or types of work not included in the classification under which his/her license was issued. The bidders attention is called to the Equal Opportunity Clause
set forth in the bid documents. Before the contract is awarded the contractor shall pay all taxes, licenses, fees, and other charges which are outstanding and due
to the City. The City of Shreveport reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids for just cause. DRGEOES 22055.3G The Dilg League Drive Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) Mitigation project requires the contractor to install
a wastewater storage facility adjacent to the Hardy Lift Station in Atkins Park to mitigate known sanitary
sewer overflows that occur during rain events. This project involves the installation of a sliding weir gate
sewer structure, installation of a new wet well submersible lift station with an odor control system,
installation of electrical equipment and conduit, constructing a wastewater storage tank with foundation,
installation of a tank washdown cleaning system, open cut installation of gravity sewer mains (from 18" to
24"), open cut installation of a 16" PVC sewer force main, directional bore installation of 16" HDPE sewer
force main, directional bore installation of 6" HDPE water main, installation of sanitary sewer manholes,
open cut installation of both public and domestic water mains and other associated appu1tenances,
abandonment and demolition of existing gravity sewer mains, installing a new concrete access drive,
removal of an existing temporary wastewater storage facility in Atkins Park, and the repair and extension
of an existing concrete drainage ditch. The contractor is to construct following the existing Sanitary Sewer
and Water construction documents. Construction time will be 365 Calendar Days to complete work. All
work shall be per the Project's Specifications and the City's Standard Specifications for Infrastructure
Improvement, 2021 edition. The work includes property restoration and landscaping, bypass pumping,
site dewatering, mitigation of debris laden soil, concrete and asphalt paving, storm drainage, and
miscellaneous items shown on plans prepared by Civil Design Group, LLC dated November 2023.
