Renovation of a residential development in Port Alberni, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Provide fire and life safety upgrades for a one-level single dwelling home as specified in drawings. Home is currently tenanted, and renovation work is expected to be minimally disruptive to residents. An application for a Building Permit has been submitted by the Prime Consultant. a. Provide new sprinkler system layout in accordance with the mechanical drawings. b. Identify, remove and replace the x2 dated carbon monoxide detectors. Coordinate with client for exact location. c. Provide emergency lighting c/w backup power supply in accordance with BCBC 2018. d. Provide exit signage at all exterior doors leading directly to the outdoors. Exit signage locations & specifications to be in accordance with BCBC 2018 requirements. e. Provide recessed fixtures on lower level in accordance with BCBC 2018, such as sprinkler heads, recessed carbon monoxide detectors, and recessed exit signage & emergency lighting. Refer also to mechanical drawings. f. Establish any hot spots in the wiring or electrical equipment on the upper level using infrared equipment. Remove and replace the branch wiring, receptacles, light switches as needed on the upper level.
