The work of this Contract includes all work necessary to produce complete and fully usable stream and floodplain restoration, and sewer infrastructure as shown and described in the Contract Documents. In general, the work includes the acquisition and placement of natural materials for the construction of embankment, floodplain, and streambed restoration features. These features are intended to prevent erosion, enhance aquatic habitat, and establish a reconnected floodplain and natural stream channel suitable for current and future streamflow regimes. These structures can also provide protection to new and existing sanitary sewer infrastructure to extend their usable life and reduce the risk of pollution due to pipe breakage. Work will also include the planting of native trees, shrubs, and grasses to restore the site following construction disturbance and promote a healthy plant community. bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the gross amount of the Quote.
