The Fabens Airport Hangar Expansion Project is located in Fabens, Texas and includes multiple bid components: Base Bid 1, Base Bid 2, Base Bid 3, and Add Alternate Bids 1-2. Refer to design plans for the specific site location. Base Bid 1 includes construction of the proposed pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) for Hangar 2 (classroom), and other site improvements. Base Bid 2 includes construction of a proposed 8-in water main, including connection to an existing 8-in water line along Fabens Road. This also includes the installation of steel casing by bore method to cross Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) ROW and related traffic control. Base Bid 3 includes construction of the proposed PEMB for Hangars 1 and 3, and other site improvements. Add Alternative 1 includes construction of the proposed PEMB for Hangar 4, and other site improvements. Add Alternative 2 includes construction of the proposed PEMB for Hangar 5, and other site improvements. This project description is only a general overview of this project. Interested contractors should refer to the Plans, Specifications, and Bid Packets for more information. Various bid items and their associated quantities have been provided to establish unit bid prices for the proposed work. The bid items and quantities are based on historical data and are not guaranteed. Actual quantities of work to be performed and paid will be determined in the field by the Project Engineer and will be paid utilizing these unit bid prices with no further compensation made regardless of the final quantities. The Contract will be in effect until the work on the last callout is completed and all project documentation provided. The CRRMA reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive all technicalities, and to accept the bid or bids most beneficial to the CRRMAA, as applicable.
