The City of Havre de Grace is seeking proposals for a qualified firm/individuals to conduct a feasibility study and subsequent design related to a bike lane loop and bicycle lane development within city limits. The City is situated where the scenic Susquehanna River meets the Chesapeake Bay, Havre de Grace is Harford County's most prominent tourism location with a unique and historic downtown and waterfront area. Currently, there are no designated bikeways in the City. The downtown area and adjacent neighborhoods are very walkable and could be more bike able with targeted investments. The goal of the project is to examine the proposed Old Town area, concept inner city bike lanes loop, and evaluate where bike lane segments can be quickly constructed. Upon completion, the project will allow for safe travel by bike throughout the downtown, to new parts of the city across US40 and to provide future connections to planned routes on US40 and adjacent trails. This project is grant funded. Any attempt to contact any other City personnel will be viewed as an attempt to bypass the required communication path and will lead to disqualification. The City Reserves the Right to verify the qualifications of all contractors. Such qualifications may serve as the basis for acceptance or rejection. The City Reserves the Right, in its discretion to reject any and all proposals or to accept any proposals found to be in the best interest of the City of Havre de Grace. Vendor must be in Good Standing with the State of Maryland and Harford County Government, Certificate of Good Standing must be supplied upon request.
