Renovation and addition to an educational facility in Solon, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for the addition of a educational facility.

Base Bid A - Roxbury Elementary School - Walls 8A, 8C, 8E, 11, 17, A, C, E, F, G, I, and L a. Window removal and replacement, Door removal and replacement, sill restoration, lumber installation, masonry installation/restoration, lintel installation, air barrier installation, trim replacement and installation, sealant removal and replacement, interior protection, fascia removal and replacement, sheet metal removal and replacement, painting, etc. It is understood and agreed that work embodied in this Contract for the Base Bids and Alternates as awarded shall start on or about June 3, 2024, and be completed no later than August 2, 2024, unless the Owner grants an extension of time. A fee of $1,000.00 per day may be charged for work not completed by August 2, 2024. In addition, the Contractor can be billed $110.00/hr. for all Consulting hours that result as a result in work not completed by August 2, 2024. These Consulting hours may be deducted from the Prime Contractors contract balance. Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same, shall state the price for labor and materials, and must be accompanied by a BID GUARANTEE meeting the requirements of Section 153.571 and 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Bidder will need to certify that upon the execution of the Contract, the Contractor shall be enrolled in good standing in the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation Drug-Free Workplace Program (DFWP) or an equivalent BWC approved DFWP throughout the entire Project, in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Sections 153.03 to 153.031. The Bidder acknowledges the responsibility to require all Subcontractors to be enrolled in good standing in the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation DFWP or comparable Bureau of Workers Compensation approved program that meets the requirements specified in Ohio Revised Code Sections 153.03 to 153.031, prior to the Subcontractor providing labor at the Project site. If in the opinion of the Owner, the acceptance of the lowest responsible bid is not in the best interest of all concerned, the Owner may accept another proposal so opened or reject all proposals and advertise for other bids. The project estimate is $600,000 for the base scope of work and $175,000 for the alternate scopes of work. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.
