The objective of the Deliverables is for the Vendor to supply and deliver three (3) TMPs for Aerosol Chemical Speciation Monitors (ACSMs) in the Provincial Air Quality Health Index and Road-side Monitoring Network to the EMRB located at 125 Resources Road, Etobicoke, Ontario M9P 3V6 (the Site) that are to be used as replacement TMPs on Ministry's ACSMs. The Ministry delivers monitoring, assessment and reporting on the Province of Ontarios air quality in support of one of the objectives of protecting and improving clean air. The ACSM is a miniaturized aerosol mass spectrometer, and its purpose is to be able to do near-real-time measurements of the components that make up particulate matter (PM), specifically fine particulate matter (PM2.5). This helps EMRB better understand the complex composition of particulate matter which is critical in determining how major sources of pollution impact the Province of Ontario's air quality. Turbomolecular pumps (TMPs) are critical for the operation of the ASCM analyzer. EMRB has been operating advanced monitoring instrumentation including three ACSMs at specific stations of high interest, i.e., a road-side monitoring station in operation since 2014, Hamilton downtown and Windsor West Air Quality Health Index stations. The information collected from these instruments are critical in understanding the composition of particulate matter in the Province of Ontario. For instance, the province is at the forefront of reporting on Traffic-related Air Pollution (TRAP) and the ACSM is one of the reasons the program is so advanced.
