The work includes the repairs of the existing boat launching ramp and associated timber docks The project is the boat ramp on Silver Street in Wolfeboro, NH 03894 and bidders may visit the site. All work under this contract shall be fully completed within sixty (60) calendar days and in lake work completed within thirty (30) days from the date specified in the "Notice to Proceed". Liquidated damages for failure to timely attain a Milestone, Substantial Completion, or completion of the Work in readiness for final payment shall be in the amount of $50 (fifty dollars) for each calendar day of delay, and assessed in accordance with Article 3.3 of Section 00520 Agreement between Owner and Contractor for Construction Contract. The Town acting through the Town Manager reserves the right to reject any, or all bid proposals, to waive any informality of the bids received, to omit any item or items, and/or to accept any bid as he may deem to be in the best interest of the Town to obtain "best overall value". The decisions of the Town Manager shall be final. Performance and Payment Bonds are not required, but 15% retainage will be withheld until completion. Each bidder must deposit with his bid a certified check or a Bid Bond for not less than ten percent (10%) of the value of the bid as provided for in the Instructions for Bidders.
