As of December 20, 2023, project was awarded to DL Beck, Inc., awarded amount is $871,943.75 This project shall consist of the Contractor furnishing all tools, labor, equipment, and materials necessary to tie into the existing canal crossing and extend the structure 35 feet to the north over the Idaho canal together with required footings and appurtanences, install 800 LF of curb & gutter, 100 ton of pavement / road section, 350 SY of concrete, 2 signal poles and any additional items specifically defined in the Bid Documents. In determining the lowest responsive bid, the Owner will consider all acceptable bids on a basis consistent with the bid package. The Owner will also consider whether the bidder is a responsible bidder Bids must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check or cash in the amount of 5% of the amount of the bid proposal. Said bid security shall be forfeited to the City of Idaho Falls as liquidated damages should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract in accordance with their proposal as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Idaho Falls reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bids received, and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the best interest of the City of Idaho Falls. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
