Demolition, site work and addition to a medical facility in San Jose, California. Completed plans call for the addition of a medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.

The Work will consist of: The project scope consists with 2 phases including but not limited to installation/replacement of body fluids analyzing equipment, remodel of adjacent spaces including electrical room, IDF room, and offices. Phase 1 will need to be done prior to phase 2 work. There may be a schedule gap in phase 1 and phase 2. Pursuant to Document 00 73 43, "Labor and Wage Rate Requirements,"all workers employed in the Work are subject to payment of not less than prevailing wages under California Labor Code section 1770 et seq. The rates are available on the State of California Department of Industrial Relations website at California Department of Industrial Relations Home Page Q & A deadline: Feb 26, 2024 8:00:00 PM EST Liquidated Damages are associated with Substantial Completion and Final Completion. Liquidated damages are set forth in Document 00 52 00,"Agreement," The estimated cost for the base Bid for this work is: $2,800,000. Each Bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a bond in the sum of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total aggregate of the Bid price, including all additive Bid items. The check or bond must be made payable to "The County of Santa Clara." The scope of Work of this Contract consists of, but may not be limited to, the following: The project scope consists with 2 phases including but not limited to installation/replacement of body fluids analyzing equipment, remodel of adjacent spaces including electrical room, IDF room, and offices. Protect existing areas including utilities feeding adjacent areas and provide method of procedure (MOP) for any utility's shutdown. Submit Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) Permit prior to any construction activities inside the building. Compliant with Santa Clara Valley Medical Center infection prevention manual. Maintain two (2) continuously temporary egress .1 Descriptions of Lump Sum Items: .a Fire Alarm Scope - Deferred Submittal .b Fire Sprinkler Scope - Deferred Submittal .c SUPPORT AND SEISMIC BRACING FOR PIPES, DUCTS, AND CONDUITS - Deferred Approval .d Framing Scope .e Flooring Scope .f Plumbing Scope .g Mechanical Scope .h Electrical Scope If any person contemplating submitting a Bid is in doubt as to the intended meaning of any part of the Bid Documents, or finds discrepancies in, or omissions in the Bid Documents, that person must submit a written request for an interpretation or correction thereof at least ten (10) Days before the deadline for receipt of Bids.
