The construction is briefly described as follows: The project is comprised of interior and exterior renovations to three buildings at the Bevill State Community College Jasper Campus on Industrial Drive. Two of the facilities are Pre-Engineered Metal Building frame construction on slab on grade comprised of 20,000 square feet each. One of the buildings is a wood framed slab on grade facility comprised of 1,900 square feet. All buildings will include selective demolition, new interior and exterior finishes, with associated fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical upgrades to provide a state-of-the-art training facility. Sitework and paving will also be a part of the project scope. Contractors must notify the Awarding Authority if a bid is to be received by mail. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Alabama Community College System in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the proposal, but in no event more than $10,000.00, must accompany the bidder's proposal for each project. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance as required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract.
