Renovation of a municipal facility in Wytheville, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,008-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility.

As of December 19, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. A general contract for Wythe County, Virginia consisting of roof repair to the Wythe County Circuit Court located at 225 South Fourth Street, Wytheville, VA 24382. All bids shall be on a lump sum basis. Bids shall be binding for a period of sixty (60) days from the date on which bids are opened. The successful bidder, if awarded the contract, shall provide a proper performance and payment bond, covering up to the full amount of the contract price as security for the faithful performance of all work under the contract and payment of all charges in connection therewith. Cost of said bond to be included in base bid. The failure of the bidder to whom the award is made to execute the agreement and supply the required bonds within ten (10) business days after award of contract or within such extended period as the Owner may grant, shall constitute a default and the Owner may award the next lowest bidder in succession and charge against the defaulting bidder the difference up to the total amount of the bidder's bid security All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, executed by the Bidder and an acceptable Surety, in an amount equal to 5% of the bid, made payable to Wythe County, Virginia. A performance bond, payment bond and a material and labor bond will be required and the cost shall be included in the bid price. Bidders are required under Title 54.1, Chapter 11, Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, to be licensed as a "Class A Contractor" before submitting a bid of one hundred twenty thousand ($120,000) dollars or more; or to be licensed as a "Class B Contractor" before submitting a bid of ten thousand ($10,000) dollars or more but less than one hundred twenty thousand ($120,000) dollars; or be licensed as a "Class C Contractor" before submitting a bid of no more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000). Each Bidder will be required to give their State Registration Number on their proposal. All non-resident contractors and subcontractors bidding the work described herein shall register with the Department of Labor and Industry under the provisions of Section 40.1-30 of the Code of Virginia. Wythe County Circuit Court Roof Repair: This project consists of repairing two separate section of the roof that have deteriorated over time due to water intrusion and heat build-up. This has caused soft spots in the roof and the existing membrane has bubbled up. The existing roof repair area is approximately 992 SF in one area and 16 SF in another area. The roof repair will consist of removing the existing EPDM membrane and roof insulation in its entirety. The Contractor will need to field verify the location and mark the area prior to demolition. The contractor will need to dry out the existing lightweight concrete deck prior to patching the damaged area with new roofing materials
