Renovation of a mixed-use development in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of August 28, 2024, project was awarded to Elevated Commercial Services, awarded amount is $717,688.24. Union Public Schools is requesting sealed bids for the Union Public School's Roof Replacement at Education Service Center. Please refer to the scope of work, specifications, and drawings for detailed requirements of this solicitation. Section Includes: Selective demolition as follows:-- 1. Remove architectural, structural, plumbing, fire protection, mechanical and electrical materials and equipment as indicated or required for new construction. 2. Sawcut and remove concrete for drains, plumbing piping, etc. and where necessary to prepare for subsequent work. 3. Cut and patch roof for new roof curbs, and mechanical and electrical items. 4. Remove materials from site, and dispose of legally. 5. Disconnect, remove, cap and identify utilities for later reconnection. Shoring Design: Demolition Contractor shall be responsible for retaining the services of a professional engineer, licensed in the State of Oklahoma, to design temporary shoring of existing structure when shoring is necessary. Shoring drawings shall be signed and sealed by the professional engineer responsible for the shoring design. PROJECT CONDITIONS A. Protect adjacent work to remain, and items to be turned over to Owner, from damage. B. Existing Conditions: 1. If asbestos or other hazardous materials are found or suspected, immediately stop work in the suspected area and advise the Construction Manager. Do not recommence work in the area until advised by the Construction Manager that the area has been cleared for work. C. Owner will occupy adjacent areas during the course of the Work. Work under this Section shall not affect Owner's operation of adjacent areas. DESCRIPTION A. Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to: 1. Remove existing steel decking, where required due to corrosion or where otherwise specified for replacement, by breaking welds or removing fasteners, and removing entire sheet. Replace with new decking per drawings and specifications. 2. Wire brush and prime paint surface rusted steel decking, where the level of corrosion does not necessitate deck replacement. 3. Fasten decking per drawings and specifications. B. If loosening, temporary supporting, and reattachment of deck-mounted equipment/piping is required for performance of decking replacement work, the Contractor shall provide the associated work under the appropriate bid price. 1.2 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Standards: Comply with all pertinent standards specified in the contract documents, including those listed below. If the building code references a specific edition or revision of an individual standard, then comply with that edition or revision. Otherwise, comply with the latest published edition or revision available on the date the Contractor submits its price proposal to the Owner. 1 Steel Deck Institute Design Manual, Steel Deck Institute 2 Steel Deck Construction Handbook, Steel Deck Institute 3 Manufacturer published specifications, product data sheets, application instructions, and technical bulletins. 4 Annual Book of ASTM Standards, ASTM International
