Seeking sealed bids from contractors prequalified with MassDOT for class of work: Guardrail & Fencing. The construction project involves approx. 400 ft. of traffic safety improvements to Curve St. at the existing corrugated metal arch culvert crossing of River Meadow Brook. No work to the roadway pavement or culvert is proposed. Detail work includes the replacement of noncompliant guardrail, end treatments, transitions, thrie beam and other incidental work. bids beginning 11/15/23 @ 8:00 A.M. The Deadline for submitting Questions is Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 12:00 pm SCOPE OF WORK Work under this contract includes traffic safety improvements along Curve Street. Current, non-compliant guardrail is to be discarded and replaced by TL-2 guardrail, end treatments, transitions, thrie beam bridge rail, and other incidental work All rail components to be galvanized with brown powder coat finish. The existing Otter Slide Trail entrance is to be relocated and constructed as per plan to accommodate hikers and equestrians.
