Demolition, renovation and addition to a fire / police facility in Kirkland, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 4,765-square-foot fire / police facility; for the addition of a fire / police facility; and for the demolition of a fire / police facility.
**As of February, 2024 project was awarded to CDK Construction Services, Inc, awarded amount is $5,859,327.39.** The Work to Be Performed for This Project, Consists of Furnishing All Labor, Tools, Material and Equipment Necessary for Completion of the Fire Station 26 Renovation Project. The Project consists of all work to be performed as indicated in the Project Manual, Drawings, and any posted Addenda. The work consists of all labor, materials, and other incidentals for the expansion and remodel, alteration, and improvements of an approximately 9,517 square-foot existing Fire Station and associated site and offsite work. The existing Fire Station is a two-story wood-framed building and was built in 1994. The Project includes selective demolition, approximately 345 square feet of building additions, structural improvements, interior remodeling, and exterior alterations. The site is approximately 4.7 acres. Site work includes site furnishing, site structures, landscaping, and paving (and repaving). Questions regarding this project shall be submitted in writing to Anneke Davis (adavis@kirklandwa.gov) via e-mail with the subject line of "FS26: Bid Question". Questions received via phone or any other method other than e-mail will not be accepted. Bidders shall submit questions no later than December 5, 2023 at 3PM. Receipt of questions will be acknowledged however bidder questions will be answered via addendum. 2. Substantial Completion shall be achieved within three hundred and five (305) calendar days after the Owner's Notice to Proceed. Final Completion shall be achieved within forty-five (45) calendar days after Substantial Completion. 3. The Owner intends to issue a Limited Notice to Proceed for a period of approximately 21 calendar days prior to the issuance of the Owner's Notice to Proceed. Mobilization and work at the Project site cannot commence until the Owner's Notice to Proceed is issued. The Limited Notice to Proceed shall allow for meetings, document development, scheduling (including identification of long lead items), commencement of submittals, and specific onsite investigations and activities (including waterline potholing, finish floor elevation surveying, and roof cleaning for Owner inspection). All Limited Notice to Proceed onsite activities shall require pre-approval from the Owner. The duration of the Limited Notice to Proceed period shall not be considered as part of the construction duration provided above. 4. The A/E estimate is $5,600,000 excluding Washington State Sales Tax. All bid submittal envelopes must be opaque, sealed, and plainly marked on the outside with "Bid for Fire Station 26 Renovation, Job #46-21-PW." The bid submittal envelope must contain all documents required at the bid submittal time. NO BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE BID SUBMITTAL TIME. Upon submittal, bids will be marked by the City of Kirkland with the time and date received, and then secured until the date and time set for the public bid opening
