Demolition and site work for a warehouse / distribution facility in Everett, Washington. Completed plans call for the demolition of a warehouse / distribution facility; and for site work for a warehouse / distribution facility.
\The City of Everett acquired the former Kimberly Clark Wastewater Treatment Plant and will redevelop the site in the Port Gardner Storage Facility (PGSF). The City is seeking a Contractor to perform the first phase of the project which includes mainly selective demolition work. Additional work, during the first phase of the project includes pipeline inspection and cleaning, concrete topping layer replacement, temporary roof infill, and temporary site power installation. The PGSF site is located at 2200 W Marine View Dr., Everett, WA 98201. The engineers estimate for this Project is $5,440,569.00 The Contractor will have 115 working days (from the Notice to Proceed date) to substantially complete the work in compliance with all applicable laws and regulation All bids must be made upon the City forms provided for this purpose and must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check or cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, all as set forth in the Contract Documents. One hundred percent (100%) Payment and Performance Bonds will be required of the successful Bidder to guarantee faithful performance of the contract. The City, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities. No Bidder may withdraw its Bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, except as may be provided in the Contract. Documents. The City further reserves the right to make the bid award, as deemed in the best interest of the City. The right is reserved by the City to postpone the award for a period of forty-five (45) days after bid opening.
