furnishing all material, equipment, labor and supervision necessary for completion of the following: WWTP CLARIFIER NO. 3, DIGESTERS, AND THICKENER IMPROVEMENTS The major items of work include: Rehabilitation of clarifier equipment by removal and replacement of mechanism components with new components, including drive unit; and replacement of clarifier bridge and handrails. Rehabilitation of digesters by removal and replacement of air diffusers and associated air line drop, manifold, and header; blast and recoating of the portion of airline not being replaced within the digester basins; and removal and disposal of mechanical surface aerators. Rehabilitation of thickener equipment by removal and replacement of mechanism components with new components, including drive unit; replacement of thickener control panel; and replacement of thickener bridge and handrails. Installation of new submersible scum pump and associated discharge piping and valves; blast and recoating of sludge and scum piping adjacent to thickener; and replacement of sludge and scum pump control panels. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check, Certified Check or a Bid Bond from a reliable surety company drawn to the order of LAKE FOREST PLANT ADVISORY COUNCIL in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. No bid proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to it. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance, payment, and maintenance bond for the full amount of the contract.
