Site work for a water / sewer project in Huntsville, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of January 15, 2024, project was awarded to CTS Excavations, L.L.C, awarded amount is $314,628.76.** Description of Project: Approximately 850 Linear Feet of 16" Ductile Iron Gravity Sanitary Sewer backfilled with crushed limestone to be installed in vacant lot in downtown Huntsville for future development. The project includes 4 new Sewer Manholes with an average depth of 12'. The new 16" sewer will be connected to existing City of Huntsville sanitary sewers manholes on both ends of the project and new sewer will function as a sewer overflow bypass during peak flows. The project will include a roadway detour for the sewer connection. Bypass pumping may be required due to construction involving live sewer system. The attention of all bidders is called to Code of Alabama 34-8-1 and 34-8-2 (1975) and 34-8-1, 34-8-2, 34-8-4, 34-8- 6, 34-8-7, 34-8-8 and 34-8-9 (amended 1996) setting forth the definition of general contractor and the licensing procedures and requirements for state licensing. A copy of the above Codes may be obtained from the OWNER (City of Huntsville). No one is entitled to bid and no contract may be awarded to anyone who does not possess a valid general contractor's license and the required classification for the municipal type work to be performed.
