Renovation of a multi-residential development in Lowell, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Designer shall provide recommendations and resulting design services, cost estimating, construction documents, site visits and construction administration services to complete this project. Additionally, designers will assist with contractor questions and requests for information that may arise during the procurement and construction processes. The location of this project is 361 Adams Street, Lowell, MA. The general scope of this project is to remove existing domestic hot water (DHW) boilers and heat exchangers that have reached lifecycle term. The system shall be resized and replaced with up to three (3) new natural gas thermal (or geothermal) efficiency DHW boilers with condensate neutralization to service 524 public housing residential apartments in 33 buildings. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Deadline for Written Questions: November 29, 2023, by 3:00 P.M Anticipated LHA Board Approval: January 10, 2024 Any cost or price estimates or analyses and bid documents prepared under a contemplated designer agreement must include the applicable prevailing wages for the installation and trade work involved. The LHA reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive technicalities and informalities in the solicitation process, or to terminate and cancel the solicitation process at any time, if deemed by the LHA to be in its best interests.
