The Project consists of modernizing three existing baseball fields with new sports lighting, adding a new restroom, storage, & concession buildings, adding two new shade structures, two playgrounds, two soccer fields, dry streams, meandering pathways and new landscape areas and work-out stations. 205-0-372-045, 207-0-081-015, 23030 207-0-010-015, 207-0-010-095 FNC23-00701-04, 4880, 23-6537 All bids shall be on the form provided by the City. Each bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Contract Documents, including, but not limited to, the Instructions to Bidders. All bids shall comply with all applicable labor compliance requirements under the California Labor Code, including but not limited to, registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (Labor Code Sections 1771.1(a) and 1725.5), 1771, 1771.4, 1773.2, 1774, 1776, 1777.5, 1813, and 1815. No bid will be accepted, nor any contract, entered into without proof of the contractor's and subcontractor's current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform public work. As security for its Bid, each bidder shall provide with its Bid form: a bid bond issued by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the City, cash, or a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the City of Port Hueneme, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. This bid security shall be a guarantee that the Bidder shall, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the City for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Project. The City's Council reserves the right to reject all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the City awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening. The City shall award the Contract, if it awards it at all, to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder based on the base bid amount only. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the City in response to such questions will be issued in writing by Addenda and delivered electronically to all parties recorded by the City as having received the Contract Documents.
