The City of Mayfield Heights desires to retain the services of a professional civil engineering and surveying form to perform the various Municipal Engineering services that are required by the City for the calendar years 2024-2025. The individual designated as City Engineer must be a registered professional engineer, and the firm must be licensed in the State of Ohio and must have at least ten years of previous experience as a City and/or Village engineer. A written agreement will be required. The Engineering Firm will provide the following services under the retainer: 1. Designate and authorize an employee of the Firm as City Engineer. Said City Engineer shall be available at all times to the representatives of the City for the purpose of notification and consultation. The City Engineer shall be responsible for and perform all duties and functions that are required to be conducted and assumed by a City Engineer pursuant to the laws of the State of Ohio and the Ordinances of the City of Mayfield Heights, Ohio. 2. The City Engineer shall attend regular and special Council, Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals meetings, all staff meetings, and such other meetings only as requested by the Mayor. 3. The City Engineer shall provide consultation and site inspection with authorized representatives of the City, including the Mayor, Service Director, Building Director, and other City staff. 4. The City Engineer shall prepare preliminary estimates of costs for capital improvements, along with estimated budgets of engineering and/or technical services in sufficient detail for review. 5. The City Engineer shall provide the research and investigation necessary to determine when resources are available to fund capital improvement projects, including loans and grants.
