The project scope includes geometric survey and design, including drafting and preliminary cost estimating necessary to advance concepts into the design phase. Traffic engineering studies will include crash analysis and safety studies, corridor analysis, transportation system management, traffic signal timing evaluation, signal warranting and roundabout analysis, minor origin and destination studies, capacity analysis and congestion mitigation, lighting analysis and design, intersection analysis, developer plan review, traffic impact analysis review, maintenance of traffic alternative analysis and public meeting participation. Traffic engineering design services include geometric survey and design, inventory layout and design of traffic of traffic control devices, work zone traffic control design, development of innovative concepts, hydrologic and hydraulic computations, metes and bounds right of way plats. The project may require the consultant to provide engineering services on-site at SHA facilities as required as required for the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration's (SHA) District 1, comprised of Dorchester, Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset counties.
