Reference Number 0000259517 Question Acceptance Deadline 2023/11/28 02:00:00 PM MST Bid Intent Deadline 2023/11/28 12:00:00 PM MST The Town of Canmore (The Town) is issuing this Request for Standing Offer (RFSO) to select firms to provide project management, design, procurement, and construction administration services for Steep Creek Hazard Mitigation Structures. Successful Proponents will assist The Town to deliver the Engineering The Town reserves the Services departments future Capital Projects. right to modify the terms or cancel the RFSO process at any time. The project scope, for each creek, is expected to include some or all, but may not be limited to, the following components: 1. Confirmation of structural mitigation concept: a. Review all available information, including any conceptual mitigation measures previously selected in option analysis. b. Review conceptual options with the Town of Canmore to confirm structural mitigation direction being pursued. c. Identify requirements for additional geotechnical investigation, survey, etc. and provide detailed specifications for the work. d. Preparation of Class 'D' (Indicative) or Class "C" Estimate. 2. Design of the mitigation: a. Undertake or coordinate the required geotechnical investigation. b. Fully develop the design of the mitigation works, including: L. Preliminary design and draft specifications (if not already completed). II. Detailed design drawings. III. Project specifications; and IV. Preparation of Class "B" (Substantive) Estimate. c. Regulatory support including: i. Preparation of materials required for regulatory and/or environmental approvals; and ii. Support during liaison or meeting with regulator. 3. Procurement and Tender Documents: a. Assistance with the development of the procurement strategy. b. Preparation of Class 'A' (Pre-tender) Estimate. c. Assistance in the preparation of the Tender Documents including: i. Development of IFT drawings and specifications. ii. Preparation of schedule of quantities. Development of front end and general conditions based on templates provided by the Town. It is expected that the documents will follow the Town's standard tender format; and iv. Development of Special Conditions. The Successful Proponent shall always carry during the performance of the work General Liability/ Umbrella Liability Insurance with a limit of not less than FIVE MILLION DOLLARS ($5,000,000) inclusive per occurrence for bodily injury (including death) and damage to property including loss of use thereof. Such insurance shall at a minimum include coverage of broad form property damage, contractual liability, cross liability, completed operations and product liability, and such other types of insurance as would be carried by a prudent person performing such contract work and as The Town may from time to time require.
