The purpose of the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to invite interested parties to submit responses to the City indicating their interest in and providing their qualifications for the construction of an addition to the Rosedale Fire Hall #2 and renovation to the existing Fire Training Center Garage for the City of Chilliwack. It is expected the City will release the individual Request for Proposals in January 2024 with substantial completion of the projects by end of December, 2024. The Responses to this Request for Qualifications will be used to identify a shortlist, a minimum of three (3) and up to four (4) qualified Respondents who will be invited to respond to a Request for Proposals for the named projects. This RFQ provides some general information about the projects, the requirements for the Responses to this RFQ, and the process to be used to select the shortlisted Respondents. The scope of work for the projects could include but not be limited to: Excavation of the site to underside of sub-grade design elevations Demolition and removal of concrete slabs as required Installation of storm sewer, sanitary sewer and potable water infrastructure Installation of underground conduit and junction boxes Construction of new building, including electrical and fire suppression Construction of parking lotsub-grade; Construction of concrete curbs and sidewalks Installation of asphalt pavement structure; Line painting; and Adjacent landscape reinstatement Documents can be obtained from www.chilliwack.com/bids
