Renovation of a transportation facility in Milpitas, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

For purposes of this Contract, Work consists of design and construction of voluntary notifier NFS2-640 aerosol fire suppression systems to protect the communication and electrical rooms at the Milpitas and Berryessa Station campuses. Scope of work also includes integrating the new fire suppression systems into the main fire alarm control panels and obtaining Fire Marshall approval of the project upgrades. The Engineer's Estimate for this Work ranges from $640,000.00 to $860,000.00 At the Bid Opening, each electronic Bid must include Bid Form 2 and a true copy of a certified or cashier's check, or a Bidder's Bond in the sum of not less than 5% of the Total Bid Price APerformance Bond in the amount of 100% of the Total Contract Price to guarantee faithful performance of the Work under the Contract and a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Total Contract Price to guarantee payment for labor and materials, as required by law The Bidder to whom the Contract will be awarded ("Contractor") must, at the time of Contract award, possess current licenses in the following classifications issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Contractors State License Board: License: C10 (Electrical), C16 (Fire Protection) VTA reserves, holds and may exercise, at its sole discretion, the following rights and conditions with regard to this IFB, and by submitting your electronic Bid, Bidders acknowledge and consent to the following rights and conditions: o VTA reserves the right to issue addenda to amend this IFB or any related forms or document, or any reference information provided to Bidders. o VTA reserves the right to respond to inquiries after the deadline for submitting inquiries. o VTA reserves the right to cancel the procurement, to reject any and all Bids, or to negotiate separately in any manner necessary to serve the best interests of VTA, in accordance with applicable law. o VTA reserves the right to waive any informality or immaterial irregularity in any Bid and/or accept or reject any items of a Bid o This IFB does not obligate VTA to procure or to contract for any work and/or services. o VTA reserves the right to change or alter the schedule for any events associated with this IFB upon notice to all potential Bidders. o VTA reserves the right to eliminate any Bidder who submits incomplete or inadequate responses or is not responsive to the requirements of this IFB. o VTA reserves the right to interview any or all Bidder references and to clarify the information provided pursuant to this IFB. Pursuant to appropriate sections of the Labor Code of the State of California, the Director of the DIR has ascertained the general prevailing rate of wages (which rate includes employer payments for health and welfare, vacation, pension, and similar purposes) applicable to the Work for straight time, overtime, Saturday, Sunday and holiday work. Contractor must post a copy of the prevailing wage rates at the Worksite or material staging area. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. $640,000.00 to $860,000.00.
